Application of Water Quality Index (WQI) and Multivariate Analysis for Groundwater Quality Assessment of the Birimian and Cape Coast Granitoid Complex: Densu River Basin of Ghana
Abass Gibrilla,Edward K. P. Bam,Dickson Adomako,Samuel Y. Ganyaglo,S. Osae,T. T. Akiti,Seifu Kebede,Elom Achoribo,Elikem Ahialey,G. Ayanu,E. K. Agyeman +10 more
TL;DR: In this article, a groundwater quality study of the Birimian, Cape Coast granitoid and the Densu River has been carried out using Water Quality Index (WQI) and multivariate statistics with the aim of determining their suitability for drinking and irrigation.

Geochemical and isotopic studies of groundwater conditions in the Densu River Basin of Ghana
Dickson Adomako,Dickson Adomako,S. Osae,S. Osae,Tetteh T. Akiti,Seynabou Cissé Faye,P. Maloszewski +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the geochemical characteristics and evolution, as well as recharge processes in the Densu River Basin (DRB) system with regard to the tectonics, geomorphology, lithology and flow system.

Application of Multivariate Analysis for Identification of Pollution Sources in the Densu Delta Wetland in the Vicinity of a Landfill Site in Ghana
Juliet Osei,Frank K. Nyame,Thomas Armah,S. Osae,Samuel B. Dampare,J. R. Fianko,Dickson Adomako,Nash Owusu Bentil +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, surface water samples collected from various sites in the Densu delta wetland, Ghana, were analyzed for pH, temperature, TDS, EC, turbidity, TSS, alkalinity, HCO3-, BOD, COD, Na, K, Mg, Ca, Cl, SO42-, PO4-P, NO3-N, Cr, Pb, Cd, Cu, Co and Fe using titration and Atomic Absorption Spectrometer (AAS).

Impact of anthropogenic activities on the Densu River in Ghana
TL;DR: A detailed study has been carried out on the Densu River and its tributaries to identify the chemical characteristics of the water, examine the hydrological connections among the land cover types and evaluate the relative contributions of anthropogenic activities to the river's pollution.

Hydrochemistry and Isotopic Composition of the Sakumo Ramsar Site
Cynthia Laar,S. Osae,J. Osei +2 more
- 01 Jan 2011
TL;DR: In this article, the cause of deterioration of water quality was studied using hydrochemical data and environmental isotopes of water; namely deuterium and oxygen-18 (measured as * 2 H and * 18 0).
