Distinct receptor binding domain IgG thresholds predict protective host immunity across SARS-CoV-2 variants and time
Grace Kenny,S. O’Reilly,N. E. Wrigley Kelly,Riya Negi,Colette Marie Gaillard,D. Alalwan,Gurvin Saini,T. Alrawahneh,Nathan Francois,Matthew Angeliadis,A. Garcia-Leon,Willard Tinago,Eoin R. Feeney,Aoife G. Cotter,Eoghan de Barra,Obadah Mohammed Taha Yousif,Megan C. Horgan,Peter Doran,Jannik Stemler,Philipp Koehler,Rebecca Jane Cox,Donal O'Shea,Ole F Olesen,Alan Landay,Andrew E Hogan,J. Lelievre,Virginie Gautier,Oliver A. Cornely,P. Mallon +28 more
TL;DR: Individuals recovered from, vaccinated or with hybrid immunity against SARS-CoV-2 are analysed and a discrete threshold that could be used in future clinical studies is provided.

Reactive Centre Loop Mutagenesis of SerpinB3 to Target TMPRSS2 and Furin: Inhibition of SARS-CoV-2 Cell Entry and Replication
Saravjeet Singh,S. O’Reilly,Hossam Eid Gewaid,Andrew G. Bowie,Virginie Gautier,D. Margaret Worrall +5 more
TL;DR: Modified serpin inhibitors with increased specificity for furin, transmembrane protease serine 2, and cathepsin L were generated and able to inhibit S-pseudoparticle entry into A549-ACE2-TMPRSS2 cells and suppress SARS-CoV-2 replication in Vero E6 cells expressing TMPR SS2.
First Eurasian cases of SARS-CoV-2 seropositivity in a free-ranging urban population of wild fallow deer
Kevin Purves,Hannah Krentler Brown,Ruth Haverty,Andrew Ryan,Laura Griffin,Janet McCormack,S. O’Reilly,P. Mallon,Virginie Gautier,Joseph P. Cassidy,Michael J. Clark,Simone Ciuti,Nicola F. Fletcher +12 more
TL;DR: In this article , the authors reported the first cases of deer SARS-CoV-2 seropositivity in Eurasia, in a city population of fallow deer in Dublin, Ireland.

Development of a Novel Medium Throughput Flow-Cytometry Based Micro-Neutralisation Test for SARS-CoV-2 with Applications in Clinical Vaccine Trials and Antibody Screening
S. O’Reilly,Grace Kenny,T. Alrawahneh,N. François,Matthew Angeliadis,Valentin de Masson d’Autume,A. Garcia Leon,E. Feeney,O. A. Yousif,Aoife G. Cotter,Eoghan de Barra,M. Horgan,P. Mallon,Virginie Gautier +13 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors describe a medium-throughput flow cytometry-based micro-neutralization test to evaluate neutralizing antibody responses against live SARS-CoV-2 Wild Type and Variants of Concern (VOC) in convalescent/vaccinated populations.
SARS-CoV-2 infects neurons, astrocytes, choroid plexus epithelial cells and pericytes of the human central nervous system
Ruth Haverty,Janet McCormack,Christopher Evans,Kevin Purves,S. O’Reilly,Virginie Gautier,Keith Rochfort,Aurelie Fabre,Nicola F. Fletcher +8 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that cells of the human central nervous system express SARS-CoV-2 entry factors in vivo and support viral infection in vitro, thus supporting a model where neurological symptoms seen in some COVID-19 patients may be as a result of direct viral infection of the central nervoussystem.
