TL;DR: This validated closed-format questionnaire appears to be unique in respect of cochlear implantation, being based explicitly on issues thought important by the parents, and the high test-retest reliability indicates that it is capable of eliciting parental views in a meaningful manner.

TL;DR: It was found that pediatric implantation is subject to diminishing returns, and further relaxation of entry criteria to implant programs should be undertaken only after careful consideration, and greater gain in Category of Auditory Performance was experienced by those who underwent implantation at a younger age.

Cochlear implants in children: an analysis of use over a three-year period.
