Phase II study of irinotecan combined with cisplatin in patients with previously untreated small-cell lung cancer. West Japan Lung Cancer Group.
S. Kudoh,Y. Fujiwara,Y. Takada,H Yamamoto,A Kinoshita,Yutaka Ariyoshi,Kiyoyuki Furuse,Masahiro Fukuoka +7 more
TL;DR: This is a new active regimen for SCLC, especially ED-SclC, with acceptable toxicity, and a phase III study that compares CPT-11/cisplatin with etoposide/cISplatin forED-SCLC is now being conducted.
176
CPT-11 in combination with cisplatin for advanced non-small-cell lung cancer.
Noriyuki Masuda,Masahiro Fukuoka,Minoru Takada,Yoko Kusunoki,S. Negoro,Kaoru Matsui,S. Kudoh,Nobuhide Takifuji,Kazuhiko Nakagawa,S Kishimoto +9 more
TL;DR: A combination of CPT-11 and cisplatin seems to be effective against NSCLC with acceptable toxicities.
148
Phase I study of irinotecan and cisplatin with granulocyte colony-stimulating factor support for advanced non-small-cell lung cancer.
Noriyuki Masuda,Masahiro Fukuoka,S. Kudoh,Yoko Kusunoki,Kaoru Matsui,Kazuhiko Nakagawa,T. Hirashima,M Tamanoi,Takashi Nitta,Takashi Yana +9 more
TL;DR: A phase I trial to investigate whether support with recombinant human granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (rhG-CSF) would permit further intensification of the CPT-11 dose in combination with a fixed cisplatin dose found it to be effective.
95
A randomized trial in inoperable non-small-cell lung cancer: vindesine and cisplatin versus mitomycin, vindesine, and cisplatin versus etoposide and cisplatin alternating with vindesine and mitomycin.
Masahiro Fukuoka,Noriyuki Masuda,Kiyoyuki Furuse,S. Negoro,Minoru Takada,Kaoru Matsui,Nobuhide Takifuji,S. Kudoh,Masaaki Kawahara,M Ogawara +9 more
TL;DR: Analyses of prognostic factors showed that treatment with MVP, sex, and histologic classification (squamous cell carcinoma) were predictive of improved response and important factors for improved survival were the stage of disease, performance status, sex, weight loss before diagnosis, and hemoglobin concentration.
72
Phase I and pharmacologic study of irinotecan and etoposide with recombinant human granulocyte colony-stimulating factor support for advanced lung cancer.
Noriyuki Masuda,Masahiro Fukuoka,S. Kudoh,Kaoru Matsui,Yoko Kusunoki,Minoru Takada,Kazuhiko Nakagawa,T. Hirashima,H Tsukada,Takashi Yana +9 more
TL;DR: The combination of CPT-11 and etoposide with rhG-CSF support seems to be active against lung cancer, especially SCLC, with acceptable toxicity.
