Methylene blue reverses endotoxin-induced hypotension.
John F. Keaney,Juan Carlos Puyana,S. Francis,J. Loscalzo,Jonathan S. Stamler,Joseph Loscalzo +5 more
TL;DR: Methylene blue restores normal arterial pressure in rabbits with septic shock and is associated with persistent elevation of intraplatelet cGMP levels and normalization of total plasma NO content, consistent with methylene blue-mediated inhibition of NO synthase and/or degradation of NO in this model.

Effect of heparin on fibrinolytic activity and platelet function in vivo

TL;DR: The data suggest that, despite administration of a neutralizing agent such as protamine, heparin may contribute to postoperative bleeding complications following cardiopulmonary bypass surgery owing principally to its longer lived effects on the fibrinolytic system.
