A regulated deficit irrigation strategy for hedgerow olive orchards with high plant density
José E. Fernández,A. Perez-Martin,José M. Torres-Ruiz,M.V. Cuevas,Celia M. Rodriguez-Dominguez,Celia M. Rodriguez-Dominguez,S. Elsayed-Farag,Ana Morales-Sillero,José M. García,Virginia Hernandez-Santana,Antonio Díaz-Espejo +10 more
TL;DR: In this article, a regulated deficit irrigation (RDI) strategy for a sustainable balance between water saving, tree vigour and oil production was proposed for super-high density (SHD) olive orchards.

Appropriate planting dates and plastic mulch for increasing common tomato varieties yield in South Texas
S. Elsayed-Farag,Juan Anciso,C Marconi,Carlos A. Avila,A Rodriguez,Ismael E. Badillo-Vargas,Juan Enciso +6 more
TL;DR: Higher average marketable yields were observed in the spring season than the fall season and in both seasons, white plastic mulch resulted in higher yields compared to the black and bare tomato yields.
Efficiency of tree-based water status indicators at the onset of water deficit in citrus
TL;DR: Maximum daily shrinkage, trunk growth rate, and MDS ratio was a reliable indicator to measure tree water status, and it was more sensitive for detecting water deficit at the onset of a water deficit in trees under SDI than in Trees under PRD.
An agronomic approach to screen sugar and energy cane genotypes for drought tolerance
TL;DR: Results showed that TUS12-23 genotype can be classified as very tolerant to drought stress and JW43 is the less tolerant, whereas the other genotypes could be susceptible and may survive under mild drought conditions, and results indicated that the methodology used, and the parameters measured are effective in identifying sugarcane germplasm with extreme reaction to drought Stress.
