Robots are playing a vital role in today's industrial automation and monitoring system. As technology developed these robots have increased their applications and functionality. Working robots will cooperate to the people makes the work more effortless and uncomplicated. This paper provides 4 different gestures for controlling the robots, i.e., forward, backward, left, right. For cutting weeds a gripper concept using buttons is anticipated. These movements are given by the user using MEMS accelerometer. The MEMS accelerometer will be set to the hand. Whenever the hand moves in some direction, the mechanical movement of the hand will be recognized by MEMS. MEMS translate this mechanical hand movement into equivalent electrical signals and send it to the PIC microcontroller. The PIC microcontroller at the transmitter side sends control signals to the receiver side through RF TRANSCEIVER. The controller at the receiver area receives these signals and gives direction to the robot. This type of robot is used in the crop filed to cut the weeds as per the user command.

Identifying the identity of a prisoner in a detention cell, through facial recognition automatically is a big, exciting problem and there are many different approaches to solve this problem because it must detect multiple faces (multi-face). Especially in uncontrolled real-life scenarios, faces will be seen from various sides and not always facing forward, which makes classification problems more difficult to solve. In this research, one method is combined deep neural networks that is Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) and Haar Cascade Classifier as real-time facial recognition, which has proven to be very efficient in face classification. Methods are implemented with assistance library Open-CV for multi-face detection and 5MP CCTV camera devices. In preparing the architectural model Convolutional Neural Networks Do configuration parameter initialization to speed up the network training process. Test results on 51 test data using constructs Convolutional Neural Networks VGG16 models up to a depth of 16 layers of convolution layers with input from the extraction of the Haar Cascade Classifier resulting in facial recognition system performance reaching an accuracy rate of about 87%.

This paper describes the theory and design considerations behind the implementation of a rover combining surveillance, motion detection and poisonous gas detection. The designed rover detects the presence of carbon monoxide (CO) gas in order to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning in small area, cave, mine or in an area of hazardous accident. The rover allows multiple option of dealing with detecting motion as well as temperature and most importantly carbon monoxide which is unique and can cope easily with rescue missions. Different controlling methods have been adopted to keep pace with modern technologies. The project uses modern engineering concepts to yield better implementation and better shape. Running the rover in an efficient manner and in a cost effective way to serve the human race in different purposes is the primary goal. The aim of building the rover also includes detecting movement, distance and temperature as an enhancement to the existing technology and development of robotics with new concepts and improved results.

A cost effective way to build a web controlled search and CO detector rover

Most of the cities adopted the underground drainage system and it’s the duty of Municipal Corporation to maintain cleanliness, healthy and safety of cities. If the drainage system is not properly managed then pure water gets contaminate with drainage water and infectious diseases may get spread. Drainage cleaning people are not aware of risk of sudden attack of poisonous gas since the gases are odorless if exposed for long time which may cause serious health problems. Due to the lack of using proper gas leakage detection system, a number of dangerous accidents occurred during the last few decades. To overcome all these problems effective monitoring system is needed in the drainage channels. The detected system is proposed with three gas sensors like Carbon Monoxide, Hydrogen sulphide sensors and Methane, one Ultrasonic sensor used for detect obstacle, one Heat Beat sensor used to Calculate the pulse rate of Human. Carbon Monoxide, Hydrogen sulphide, Methane gases are highly toxic to human hence the proposed system will gives alert through the LCD Display after reaching the threshold level of each gas sensors then people gets alerts through the LED glow. Heart Beat sensor will calculate the range of the Pulse rate then output at the abnormal range will give alert through Buzzer and notification message through an GSM . Ultrasonic sensor gives alert through LED glow when obstacles occurred and performance of varies sensors operations are monitored and stored for avoiding the future dangerous accidents. The main applications where the robots have exhibited their excellence include surveillance, tracking targets for military purposes and also for disaster management like searching and rescuing victims. This paper deals about an evolutionary Non-humanoid robot for surveillance with intruder protection capability. The unique feature of this surveillance robot is that it can travel both on land and water and is equipped with robotic arm to handle the work safely. It is armed with a low power high performance NXP processor which is able to manage power more efficiently. Besides being able to work in Semi-autonomous mode, the CCD (Charge Coupled Devices) along with camera aids the operator to control it in manual mode

Amphibious Surveillance Robot with Smart Sensor Nodes

Amidst the rapid increase in population and urbanization, the use of automobiles is increasing rapidly. Though there are improved safety and security features with advancement in technology, there are no vehicle regulatory systems that provide automation in vehicle monitoring and act violations. The main objective of the work is to have a centralized server based monitoring of vehicles with an advanced security system realized in two levels of verification (password and RFID card i.e. driving license) for engine ignition. In addition to this, the centralized server maintains two separate data bases i.e. one for the vehicle and another for the person who rides it. A unique id is allotted for the vehicle and RFID card (smart card driving license) can be used to identify the object. The unique identifiers linked to the respective person's bank account debits the penalty/toll fare when the vehicle passes by toll gates/check posts. This provides a way for reducing any possibility of corruption in motor vehicles section as the penalty will be deducted straightforwardly from the person's account by an automated system. Embedded system is now an emerging technology in various fields, which is well known for its compact size, processing speed etc. It also plays a leading role in security and process management. Smart card driving license is a plastic card with a chip containing some KB of memory is widely used in many countries. The details about the license holder like his/her name, address, computer generated license number, date of issue, biometric fingerprint and Digital signature will be recorded in the computerized database and also on the chip. Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) is a common term used to depict a system utilizing radio waves by which the object or person is identified by means of a unique serial number. A centralized database management system on the other hand has many advantages in taking the technology to the next level. The microcontrollers are very useful to an extent in communicating with the devices such as displays, sensors, etc. The work deals with the federalization of vehicle act automation which has a centralized database helps in maintaining the data's of vehicles and drivers. The RFID based system helps in tracking the vehicles and collecting the penalties/toll charges directly from their bank accounts. Zigbee and GSM are the most effective and are widely used wireless communication techniques. The GSM module helps to notify the persons about the debited charge amount and the reason for the deduction. Zigbee is used for communication between the vehicle unit and the main server. This security system is simple and cost effective when compared to the use of gadgets which are of high cost.

Safety measures and uninterrupted surveillance are essential in areas like bank safety locker room, defense systems, VIP's homes and Luxury hotels. Prison is also the place where there is a need for high security and severe surveillance system. There are several techniques used in these particular environments which include the traditional VHS (Video Home System) and DVR (Digital Video Recorder) system.VHS surveillance system usually has the video quality problem of displaying because the analog signal is directly sent to monitor without processing, which results in poor monitoring system. Instead the DVR demonstrates a better competence in the prison. The main objective of this work is to introduce the application of CCMS (Central Control and Monitoring System) with 3G technologies for prison management by using the low cost and low power sensors through the web or wireless network which reduces the manual work involved. It also reduces the money invested and power usage in providing electrical fencing in the prison. The use of motion detection sensors and additional digital I/O devices helps to prevent escapes of prisoners.
