TL;DR: In this paper, an RFQ-DC mass filter was used to identify ions in the diagnostics unit (DU) of the FRS Ion Catcher at GSI, where the mass spectrum of ions produced by a discharge ion source mounted inside the CSC was measured using the extraction RFQ mass filter.
