This investigation focuses on the asynchronous H∞ control of interval type-2 (IT2) fuzzy networked systems under hybrid attacks employing a novel, improved event-triggered scheme. An IT2 fuzzy model is proposed to represent the nonlinear system with external disturbances and parametric uncertainties. A new hybrid attack involving two popular attacks-denial-of-service (DoS) attacks and deception attacks is taken into account simultaneously in communication networks. In order to satisfy the Bernoulli distribution, a hybrid attack was developed as a stochastic random variable. To improve communication, a novel event-triggered scheme is used, which significantly reduces the amount of network data transmission and protects communication resources in the presence of hybrid attacks. In addition, sufficient conditions are derived to ensure that the closed-loop system achieves the specified H∞ performance using the Lyapunov stability theory and linear matrix inequality technique. To demonstrate the proposed control technique, an application example of the mass-spring-damper mechanical system is presented.

Adaptive event-triggered synchronization of neural networks under stochastic cyber-attacks with application to Chua’s circuit

The problem of fault-tolerant control (FTC) for a multi-agent system (MAS) with input delay and sensor failures is addressed in this study. The topology of communication is an undirected subgraph having directed connections between the followers and leader. The Lyapunov approach is used to identify sufficient criteria for consensus control. We propose a fault-tolerant controller based on observed descriptors. On the basis of proposed fault-tolerant control, actuator problems, sensor faults, and state estimations can be solved. To minimize the size of the data, the Artstein–Kwon–Pearson reduction method is applied. Based on a Lyapunov functional predictive descriptor observer architecture, sufficient conditions are derived to guarantee the asymptotic stability. To demonstrate the theoretical results, numerical examples are provided. 

Fault‐tolerant control of multi‐agent systems with input delay and sensor failure

This work is devoted the problem of a security-guaranteed filter design for a class of discrete-time Markov jump systems that are vulnerable to stochastic deception attacks and have random sensor saturation. Deception attacks, in particular, are taken into account in the filter when the attacker attempts to modify the broadcast signal in communication networks by inserting some misleading information data into the assessment output. The Bernoulli distribution is satisfied by two sets of introduced stochastic variables. It shows the likelihood that the broadcaster's data transmissions will be the focus of deception attacks and sensor saturation. The Lyapunov functional technique is established, and criteria are derived to ensure that the system is mean-square stable. Furthermore, explicit expression of the filter gains is obtained by solving a set of linear matrix inequalities. Lastly, two simulation examples including a synthetic genetic regulatory network are provided to further demonstrate the validity and efficiency of the suggested theoretical results. 

Security-guaranteed filter design for discrete-time Markovian jump delayed systems subject to deception attacks and sensor saturation

Summary An adaptive event‐triggered scheme is considered for networked control systems subject to deception and reply cyber attacks. In particular, the adaptive event‐triggered mechanism is used in the closed‐loop controller design to reduce signal transmission and communication burden. The attacker destroys the system's performance by employing deception attacks on sensor‐to‐controller communication channels and replay attacks on controller‐to‐actuator communication channels, respectively. By utilizing the Lyapunov stability approach, the closed‐loop system guarantees mean square stability and ensure security. The adaptive event‐triggered controller gains are presented by solving a set of matrix inequalities. Finally, a simulation result including the model of a batch reactor is presented to demonstrate the efficiency of the methods proposed. 

Adaptive event‐triggered secure control for networked control systems subject to deception and replay cyber‐attacks

This study concentrates on adaptive event-triggered control of complex dynamical networks with unpredictable coupling delays and stochastic deception attacks. The adaptive event-triggered mechanism is used to avoid the wasting of limited bandwidth. The probability of data communicated by the network is established by statistical properties and Bernoulli stochastic variables with an uncertain occurrence probability. Stability analysis based on Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional (LKF) and the stability of the closed-loop system is guaranteed. Using the LMI technique, we obtain triggered parameters. To demonstrate the feasibility and usefulness of the suggested methodology, two examples are shown.

Adaptive Event-Triggered Control for Complex Dynamical Network with Random Coupling Delay under Stochastic Deception Attacks

The Takagi–Sugeno (T–S) fuzzy-based impulsive consensus problem of a fractional-order multiagent system (FOMAS) with an average dwell time (ADT) is investigated. FOMASs are nonlinear systems, and they are modeled as linear subsystems using a T–S fuzzy model. We study a T–S fuzzy FOMAS subject to a class of impulse time sequences with the ADT approach. In this article, an impulsive control scheme is proposed to make the tracking error converge in a finite-time consensus into a small neighborhood of origin. Based on impulsive fractional differential equations theory, the Lyapunov functional approach, and the ADT technique, an impulsive controller is designed to achieve finite-time consensus of a T–S fuzzy FOMAS. Finally, through numerical as well as practical examples, the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed approach are validated.
