Regulation of fibronectin gene expression in cardiac fibroblasts by scleraxis.
TL;DR: A novel and required role for scleraxis is demonstrated in the regulation of cardiac fibroblast fibronectin gene expression basally or in response to TGFβ.

Regulation of scleraxis transcriptional activity by serine phosphorylation.
TL;DR: The phosphorylation sequence matched that targeted by Casein Kinase 2, and inhibition of this kinase activity disrupted the ability of scleraxis to modulate the expression of its target genes while also attenuating TGFβ-induced expression of type I collagen and myofibroblast phenotype conversion marker genes.

A Systematic Review of Minimally Invasive Procedures for Mesial Temporal Lobe Epilepsy: Too Minimal, Too Fast?
Ryan Wang,Usman Beg,Varun Padmanaban,Taylor J. Abel,Nir Lipsman,Nir Lipsman,George M. Ibrahim,Alireza Mansouri,Alireza Mansouri +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the use of laser interstitial thermal therapy (LITT), stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), radiofrequency thermocoagulation (RF-TC), and focused ultrasound for mesial temporal lobe epilepsy (mTLE) patients was systematically reviewed.

Novel molecular therapeutic targets in cardiac fibrosis: A brief overview
TL;DR: This review attempts to highlight some of the recently investigated molecular determinants of ischemic and non-ischemic fibrotic remodeling of the myocardium that present as promising avenues for development of anti-fibrotic therapies.

Evolution of the Neurosurgeon's Role in Clinical Trials for Glioblastoma: A Systematic Overview of the Clinicaltrials.Gov Database.
Alireza Mansouri,Alireza Mansouri,Michelle E Beyn,Aditya Pancholi,Clement T. Chow,Ryan Wang,Alexandre Boutet,Alexandre Boutet,Gavin J B Elias,Jürgen Germann,Aaron Loh,Mathew R. Voisin,Andres M. Lozano,E. Antonio Chiocca,Michael A. Vogelbaum,Gelareh Zadeh,Gelareh Zadeh +16 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors evaluate the current landscape of procedure-based clinical trials for glioblastoma (GBM) to characterize this evolution, gain insight into past failures, and accordingly outline implications for future research and practice that may inform future studies.
