TL;DR: These parameters, particularly a VTIMV/VTILVOT ratio of >2.5, are a sensitive way of selecting patients to undergo more invasive examination with transesophageal echocardiography, demonstrating that Doppler parameters derived from transthoracic echOCardiography can accurately detect bioprosthetic mitral valve dysfunction.

TL;DR: In a consecutive series of patients with nonvalvular AF with previous ICH or IOH who underwent LAA closure with the AMPLATZER Cardiac Plug, Amulet, or WATCHMAN, left atrial appendage closure was found to be safe and effective in patients with AF.
