Chemical composition and pharmacological mechanism of Qingfei Paidu Decoction and Ma Xing Shi Gan Decoction against Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19): In silico and experimental study.
Ruocong Yang,Hao Liu,Chen Bai,Yingchao Wang,Xiaohui Zhang,Rui Guo,Siying Wu,Jianxun Wang,Elaine Leung,Hang Chang,Peng Li,Tiegang Liu,Yi Wang +12 more
TL;DR: The integration of in silico and experimental results indicated that the therapeutic effects of QFPD against COVID-19 may be attributed to the anti-inflammatory effects of MXSG, which supports the rationality of the compatibility of TCM.

Cinnamic acid preserves against myocardial ischemia/reperfusion injury via suppression of NLRP3/Caspase-1/GSDMD signaling pathway.
Fei Luan,Zhili Rao,Li-Xia Peng,Ziqin Lei,Jiuseng Zeng,Xi Peng,Ruocong Yang,Rong Qiang Liu,Nan Zeng +8 more
TL;DR: In this article , the authors investigated whether CA has any influence on inflammasome activation and pyroptosis in myocardial ischemia/reperfusion injury (MI/RI) in male Sprague-Dawley rats.

Deciphering the Pharmacological Mechanisms of Ma Xing Shi Gan Decoction against COVID-19 through Integrating Network Pharmacology and Experimental Exploration
Qianqian Li,Chen Bai,Ruocong Yang,Weiying Xing,Xiaohan Pang,Siying Wu,Shaoyang Liu,Jianxin Chen,Tiegang Liu,Xiaohong Gu +9 more
TL;DR: Xing Shi Gan Decoction against COVID-19 is a relatively active and safe treatment for influenza and viral pneumonia, and its therapeutic effect may be attributed to its antiviral and anti-inflammatory effects.
15, 16-Dihydrotanshinone I protects against ischemic stroke by inhibiting ferroptosis via the activation of nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2.
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors investigated the effect of DHT against ischemic stroke and its underlying mechanism, and showed that DHT activated Nrf2 signaling and inhibited ferroptosis marker events.

Cardioprotective effect of cinnamaldehyde pretreatment on ischemia/ reperfusion injury via inhibiting NLRP3 inflammasome activation and gasdermin D mediated cardiomyocyte pyroptosis.
TL;DR: In this article , the authors investigated the effect of Cinnamaldehyde (CD) on myocardial ischemia/reperfusion injury (MI/RI) and found that CD significantly improved cardiac diastolic function, decreased cardiac infarct size, inhibited cardiomyocyte apoptosis and mitigated oxidative stress and inflammatory response.
