Papers
Extract semantic information from Wordnet to improve text classification performance
Rujiang Bai,Xiaoyue Wang,Junhua Liao +2 more
- 23 Jun 2010
TL;DR: A Concept-based Vector Space Model is proposed which reflects the more abstract version of the semantic information instead of the Vector Space model for the text, and can achieve significant improvements with respect to the baseline algorithm.

Combination of rough sets and genetic algorithms for text classification
Rujiang Bai,Xiaoyue Wang,Junhua Liao +2 more
- 03 Jun 2007
TL;DR: This work presents a genetic algorithm approach for feature selection and parameters optimization to improve SVM classification accuracy and speed, and experimental results indicate the method is more effective than traditional SVM methods and other traditional methods.

Chinese weblog pages classification based on folksonomy and support vector machines
Xiaoyue Wang,Rujiang Bai,Junhua Liao +2 more
- 03 Jun 2007
TL;DR: A new classification method FSVMC (folisonomy and support vector machine classifier), which uses support vector machines as a Tag-agent which is a program to determine whether a particular tag should be attached to a weblog page and Folksonomy dedicates to categorize the weblog articles.

Using an integrated ontology database to categorize web pages
Rujiang Bai,Xiaoyue Wang,Junhua Liao +2 more
- 23 Jun 2010
TL;DR: This work proposed a system that uses an integrated ontologies and Natural Language Processing techniques to index texts, and developed fully automated methods for mapping keywords to their corresponding ontology concepts.
