A continuum model for the linear wave propagation in ice-covered oceans: An approximate solution
Ruixue Wang,Hayley H. Shen +1 more
TL;DR: Wang et al. as mentioned in this paper presented an approximate approach to solve the wave propagation characteristics in the whole physical range of elasticity, and only two transmitted wave modes were included in the eigenfunction expansions for the ice-covered water.

On Developing a Continuum Model for Wave Propagation in Ice Covered Seas
Ruixue Wang,Hayley H. Shen +1 more
- 29 Jul 2013
TL;DR: In this article, a wave propagation model for wave conditions in the ice-covered seas has been developed to describe the wave propagation characteristics in all types of ice cover, but this model is not ready to be integrated into wave models until sufficient validation and parameterization is completed.

Experimental study on surface wave propagating through a grease–pancake ice mixture
TL;DR: In this paper, a laboratory experiment was carried out in two wave tanks in a cold room to better understand the dispersion relation and amplitude attenuation for surface waves propagating through ice covers consisting of a grease and pancake ice mixture.
