Based on unit feedback closed-loop control structure, a simple analytical design method of decoupling controller matrix is proposed in terms of idea of coupling matrix for two-input-two-output (TITO) processes with time delays in chemical and industrial practice. By means of powerful robustness of two degree-of-freedom PID Desired Dynamic Equation (DDE) method, PID decoupling controller is analytically designed. And the Monte-Carlo stochastic experiment is introduced to analyze performance robustness of the controller. The most important merit of the proposed method is that for the nominal system the output of each channel can be decoupled entirely. Moreover, the decoupling matrix is simple and easily realized. Finally, illustrative simulation examples are included to demonstrate the remarkable superiority of the proposed method.

Analytical Design of PID Decoupling Control for TITO Processes with Time Delays

Business modeling is a primary task in the information systems development lifecycle. Although both MEASUR (Methods for Eliciting, Analyzing and Specifying User's Requirement) and RUP (Rational Unified Process) provide their own Business Modeling Method (BMM), each has obvious merits and demerits. To keep the merits and avoid the demerits at the same time, in this paper, a MEASUR and RUP combined BMM is devised based on the comparison of the two BMMs respectively from the semantics, pragmatics and social world of the semiotic framework. The method proposed consists of three activities in sequence. Unified Modeling Language (UML) Use Case Diagrams (UCD) are employed in the first activity "UML UCD Modeling" to model business functions concerning with the social world since they are the only formal result modeling business functions in both BMMs. The extended UML Activity Diagrams (AD) are employed in the second activity "Extended UML AD Modeling" to model both norms and communications concerning with both the social world and the pragmatics since UML AD can model communications directly and obviously but norms cannot and therefore make the analysis of purposes in communications much easier. In addition, it is easy to extend UML AD with the deontic operators to express the same meaning as norms following the simple rules. The Ontology Charts (OC) are employed in the third activity "OC Modeling" to define meanings of terminology used in business models and concerning with the semantics since ontological dependencies are modeled directly and clearly in OC but not defined in UML Class Diagrams.

A MEASUR and RUP Combined Business Modeling Method

The present study was to examine the relationship between dictation scores measured by the mean score of five class dictation tests and English proficiency of Chinese learners measured by TEM-4. 106 subjects, Grade 2, majoring in English, participated in the study. First, subjects did one dictation per week for five weeks in the classrooms equipped with the multimedia before TEM-4. Then the Pearson Correlation Coefficient between the mean scores of five dictations and their total scores in TEM-4 were processed by SPSS (Statistical Programs for the Social Sciences). The research result is: Chinese English learners' dictation scores have a positive correlation with their language proficiency.

As one of the most influential theories of linguistic philosophy,Speech Acts Theory plays an important role historically in the development of cognitive science since the 20th century.With an overall review of the philosophy on which illocutionary acts as the core of Speech Acts Theory dwells upon,an attempt was made to discuss the implications,classification and developmental process,of illocutionary acts in detail so as to make account of the philosophical significance of such a research.It was found that illocutionary acts not only expand the traditional studies on meaning from semantics to pragmatics,but also influence the development of the Philosophy of Mind,Pragmatics Logic and Cognitive Science profoundly.

Philosophical Reflection on Illocutionary Acts

To better understand the current situation of English dictation in China,a survey of 145 articles concerning English language dictation,published in 102 domestic journals from 1994 to 2008,shows that there has been a steady increase in the number of papers in the field of study.In regard to research methods,non-material research plays a dominant role,with empirical studies taking up a small percentage(15.2%).And the contents of the study cover a wide range of topics mainly involving such 4 aspects as the nature of dictation,the factors affecting English language dictation,testing and learning strategies of English langugae dictation.Some suggestions for further study are proposed.
