Remnant cholesterol and atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease: Metabolism, mechanism, evidence, and treatment
Kexin Wang,Rui Wang,Jia-xing Yang,Xiaoli Liu,Hua Shen,Yan Sun,Yujie Zhou,Zhe Fang,Hai Long Ge +8 more
TL;DR: The use of statins, fibrates, APOC3 inhibitors, PCSK9 inhibitors, and omega-3 fatty acids to reduce RC levels in the plasma may provide long-term benefits, and more studies on appropriate treatments of elevated RC are urgently needed.
Serum microRNA-204 levels are associated with long-term cardiovascular disease risk based on the Framingham risk score in patients with type 2 diabetes: results from an observational study.
Rui Wang,Yao-Dong Ding,Wen Gao,Yu-Qiang Pei,Jia-Xin Yang,Yingxin Zhao,Xiaoli Liu,Hua Shen,Shuo Zhang,Lei Yu,Hailong Ge +10 more
TL;DR: Receiver-operating characteristic curve analysis showed that the circulating miR-204 level can predict the high risk of CVD with higher specificity than the traditional risk factors of high systolic blood pressure or the protective factor of high-density lipoprotein cholesterol.
Increased plasma lipoprotein-associated phospholipase A2 levels are associated with coronary slow flow
Yao-Dong Ding,Yu-Qiang Pei,Rui Wang,Jia-xing Yang,Yin-xin Zhao,Xiaoli Liu,Hua Shen,Qian Ma,Shuo Zhang,Hailong Ge +9 more
TL;DR: It was demonstrated that patients with CSF had higher circulating levels of Lp-PLA 2 than normal controls, and receiver-operating characteristic curve (ROC) analysis showed that Lp -PLA 2 levels can predict CSF severity; the predictive power was higher than the other risk factors.
