TL;DR: This study simulated vehicle checkerboard and hierarchical IVIS interface layouts and examined their usability based on task completion time, error rate, NASA-TLX, and System Usability Scale and observed that the two layouts varied in their impacts on usability and driving safety at the different speeds.

TL;DR: In a monotonous road environment, fatigue symptoms occurred in inexperienced drivers and experienced drivers after about 60 and 80 min of continuous driving, respectively, so as for drivers with different experiences, restriction on continuous driving time would avoid fatigued driving and thereby eliminate traffic accidents.

TL;DR: Eye movement data and satisfaction questionnaire surveys data were acquired and analyzed to get the results: monochromatic flat icons were easier to recognize and operate than the ones that designed with multi-colors for old people, even though they may have monotonous forms.
