Effect of cleaned corrosion surface topography on mechanical properties of cold-formed thin-walled steel
TL;DR: In this paper, an experimental study was undertaken to investigate the influence on mechanical properties of corroded cold-formed thin-walled steel with different corrosion degrees and types, and the results showed that the fracture mode of pitting corrosion was the flat fracture, whereas that of the overall corrosion was diversified such as the oblique fracture, circular fracture and staircase fracture.

Comparative investigation of the effect of corrosion on the mechanical properties of different parts of thin-walled steel
Zongxing Zhang,Shanhua Xu,Rou Li +2 more
TL;DR: In this article, the effect of corrosion on the cold-formed effect of C-shaped thin-walled steel was investigated by fracture morphology and stress-strain curves, which can be attributed to the corrosion surface and thickness reduction.

Experimental and numerical investigation of corroded steel columns subjected to in-plane compression and bending
TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of corrosion on the bearing capacity of compression-bending steel members, especially the local buckling behaviors, six H-shaped Q345 steel short columns with different corrosion degrees were designed.
