Degradation behavior of chitosan chains in the 'green' synthesis of gold nanoparticles.
TL;DR: The degradation behavior of chitosan chains in the synthesis of Au nanoparticles by a 'green' method was investigated in this paper for the first time and the degree of degradation of the chitOSan chains was changed with different reaction temperatures, reactant ratios, and the molecular weights.

Chemical modification of silica-gel with hydroxyl- or amino-terminated polyamine for adsorption of Au(III)
TL;DR: In this article, the adsorption kinetics of the five adsorbents for Au(III) under different temperatures were investigated and the results showed that the amino-terminated polyamine grafted silica-gels exhibited higher adorption rates than the hydroxylterminated ones.

Novel ionic liquids as reaction medium for ATRP of acrylonitrile in the absence of any ligand
Chen Hou,Rongjun Qu,Changmei Sun,Chunnuan Ji,Chunhua Wang,Liang Ying,Nan Jiang,Fei Xiu,Lingfang Chen +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) of acrylonitrile (AN) with ethyl 2-bromoisobutyrate (EBiB) as the initiator was firstly approached in the absence of any ligand in three novel ionic liquids, 1-methylimidazolium acetate ([mim][AT]), 1methyloridazolate (mim] valerate ([mIM][VT]), and 1-methyl-dimethyl-caproate) respectively.

Reverse ATRP of acrylonitrile with diethyl 2,3-dicyano-2,3-diphenyl succinate/FeCl3/iminodiacetic acid
Chen Hou,Rongjun Qu,Junshen Liu,Zhenliang Guo,Chunhua Wang,Chunnuan Ji,Changmei Sun,Chengguo Wang +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, the reverse atom transfer radical polymerization (RATRP) technique using FeCl 3 /iminodiacetic acid (IMA) complex as a catalyst was applied to the living radical polymerisation of acrylonitrile (AN).

Reverse atom transfer radical polymerization of acrylonitrile under microwave irradiation
TL;DR: In this article, reverse atom transfer radical polymerization was used to synthesize polyacrylonitrile under microwave irradiation, and the polymerization not only showed the best control of the molecular weight and its distribution but also provided a rather rapid reaction rate with a ratio of 300 : 1: 1 : 1 : 2.
