Fe-Pt nanoclusters modified Mott-Schottky photocatalysts for enhanced ammonia synthesis at ambient conditions
TL;DR: In this paper, superparamagnetic Fe nanoclusters with Pt2+ doping are synthesized on a variety of semiconductor nitrides, oxides and silicon, and the Schottky barrier at the iron/semiconductor interface is formed.

Fluorine‐Induced Surface Metallization for Ammonia Synthesis under Photoexcitation up to 1550 nm
TL;DR: The first observation of surface metallization of TiO2-x induced by fluoride ions is presented in this paper, where the emerging metallic states are contributed by the 3d orbital of surface Ti and the 2p orbital of surfaces bridging F, which are intrinsically originated from the strong electron repulsion between F- and adjacent Ti3+.

Refining active sites and hydrogen spillover for boosting visible-light-driven ammonia synthesis at room temperature
TL;DR: In this article, a low-pressure, low-temperature ammonia synthesis process using Mo, Pt modified TiO2−x under visible light irradiation up to 800 nm was demonstrated.

Fabrication of Stepped CeO2 Nanoislands for Efficient Photocatalytic Methane Coupling
Guangming Wang,Xiao Hu Mu,Ruike Tan,Ziye Pan,Jiayang Li,Qingyun Zhan,Rong Fu,Shuyan Song,Lu Li +8 more
TL;DR: Researchers fabricated CeO2 nanoislands on Ce-Zr solid solutions, achieving a record-breaking 1517 μmol g–1 h–1 methane conversion rate through photocatalytic NOCM, facilitated by stepped surface structures and a distinct metal-CH4 σ-complex mechanism.
