Impact of volunteer-related and methodology-related factors on the reproducibility of brachial artery flow-mediated vasodilation: analysis of 672 individual repeated measurements.
Anke C. C. M. van Mil,Arno Greyling,Peter L. Zock,Johanna M. Geleijnse,Maria T. E. Hopman,Ronald P. Mensink,Koen D. Reesink,Daniel J. Green,Lorenzo Ghiadoni,Dick H. J. Thijssen +9 more
TL;DR: Although FMD showed good reproducibility, larger variation was observed in conditions with longer time between measurements, hypertension, less experience and lower baseline FMD%.
Effects of tree nut and groundnut consumption compared with those of l-arginine supplementation on fasting and postprandial flow-mediated vasodilation: Meta-analysis of human randomized controlled trials.
TL;DR: Longer-term consumption of tree nuts and groundnuts, as well as l-arginine supplementation did improve fasting endothelial function, as assessed by FMD, however, the positive effects of tree nut and groundnut consumption could not be fully explained by the amount of l- arginine in these nuts.

TL;DR: HP/MCHO versus MP/HCHO diet-induced reduction in hunger was present after 34 months weight maintenance in the post-obese state and is suggested to interact with increased 2-AG and PYY concentrations.
Fats in Foods: Current Evidence for Dietary Advice
TL;DR: A symposium was organized at the 21st meeting of the IUNS, October 17, 2017, Buenos Aires, Argentina, to summarize the key scientific evidence underlying the controversy on the relationship between the saturated and unsaturated fat consumption and CHD risk.
Overexpression of APOC1 in obob mice leads to hepatic steatosis and severe hepatic insulin resistance.
Martin Muurling,Anita M. van den Hoek,Ronald P. Mensink,T. Hanno Pijl,Johannes A. Romijn,Louis M. Havekes,Peter J. Voshol +6 more
TL;DR: It is concluded that overexpression of APOC1 prevents rosiglitazone-induced peripheral FA uptake leading to severe hepatic steatosis and hepatic insulin sensitivity improves dramatically, and it is hypothesize that the different hepatic fat accumulation and/or decrease in FA intermediates has a major effect on the insulin sensitivity of the liver.
