Parental social class and the transition to adulthood in Italy and the United States
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors examined the sequence of transitions, highlighting in a comparative perspective how life trajectories are influenced by parental social class in the United States and Italy, and found that the effect of parental status is in fact different across countries, however in an unforeseen way based on what the literature on the topic has found so far.

TL;DR: The results show that there is no single model of fertility for migrants in Italy, and some hypotheses provide a better explanation of the fertility behavior than others do.

Secularization, Union Formation Practices, and Marital Stability: Evidence from Italy
TL;DR: Using micro-level data from a national-level representative survey conducted in 2003, a multiprocess model is developed that allows unobserved heterogeneity to be correlated across the three decisions (premarital cohabitation, civil marriage, and divorce) and shows that selectivity is the main factor that explains the higher divorce rates among those who experience premarital co Habitation and a civil marriage.
