A an´alise dos dados teve como referˆencia os trabalhos publicados entre 1992 e2001 na Revista Brasileira de Ensino de F´isica (SBF), em seu encarte F´isica na Escola e tamb´em no CadernoCatarinense de Ensino de F´isica (UFSC). Foram investigadas a ´area tem´atica das publicac¸˜oes e diversos as-pectos metodol´ogicos relacionados com as propostas de atividades experimentais, como a ˆenfase matem´aticaempregada, o grau de direcionamento das atividades, o uso de novas tecnologias e a relac¸˜ao com o cotidiano. Osresultados obtidos revelaram que a experimentac¸˜ao continua sendo tema de grande interesse dos pesquisadores,apresentando essa estrat´egia ampla gama de enfoques e ﬁnalidades para o ensino de F´isica.In this paper were analysed the recent publications about the investigations on experimentation as a strategyof Physics teaching, with the objective of improving the understanding about the different possibilities andtendencies of these activities with an eye to subsidise the teachers and researchers activities at the high schoollevel. The data analysis were based on the articles published between 1992 and 2001 in the Revista Brasileira deEnsino de F´isica (SBF), in its annex F´isica na Escola and also in the Caderno Catarinense de Ensino de F´isica(UFSC). The themes and some methodological aspects related with the proposals of experiments, as the appliedmathematical emphasis, the intensity of directivity, the employment of new technologies and the relation to thequotidian were investigated. The results obtained show that the experimentation remain been of great interestof researchers, presenting this strategy a wide range of approaches and objectives to the Physics teaching.

Atividades Experimentais no Ensino de F´ Diferentes Enfoques, Diferentes Finalidades

The effect of nanoplatelets on the rheological behavior of epoxy monomers with variations in nanoplatelet exfoliation level and aspect ratio was investigated. The results show that the presence of exfoliated nanoplatelets in epoxy can significantly influence viscosity and lead to shear-thinning phenomena, especially when the aspect ratio of the nanoplatelets is high. By employing the Krieger-Dougherty model, the effectiveness of nanoplatelets in altering epoxy rheological behavior was quantitatively described and compared with experimental findings. Possible physical reasons for the observed rheological behaviors are discussed. The implication of the present study for polymer nanocomposites processing is also addressed.

On some contrast reversals in SEM : Application to metal/insulator systems

Neste trabalho, mostramos que uma configuracao desconhecida de um circuito montado com resistores e capacitores no interior de uma "caixa preta", pode ser determinada atraves de uma tecnica, conhecida como espectroscopia de impedância, largamente utilizada em varias areas da ciencia. Como essa tecnica faz uso da impedância complexa, apresentamos tambem uma introducao aos circuitos AC do ponto de vista do formalismo de numeros complexos. O arranjo experimental utiliza um gerador de audio como fonte AC para alimentar a caixa e um osciloscopio de duplo canal para medir tanto a parte real como a imaginaria da impedância complexa do circuito desconhecido em funcao da frequencia do gerador. A partir do espectro de impedância obtido, identifica-se nao so a configuracao do circuito no interior da caixa como tambem os valores das resistencias e capacitâncias utilizadas para monta-lo.

In this work, we describe an experimental setup in which an electric current is used to determine the angular velocity attained by a plate rotating around a shaft in response to a torque applied for a given period Based on this information, we show how the moment of inertia of a plate can be determined using a procedure that differs considerably from the ones most commonly used, which generally involve time measurements Some experimental results are also presented which allow one to determine parameters such as the exponents and constant of the conventional equation of a plate's moment of inertia

The secondary electron emission of dielectrics usually is measured by the pulse method, in which the dielectric is irradiated with short pulses of electrons Attempts to use a dynamic method, in which the dielectric is irradiated continuously, have failed because the dielectric becomes charged and this charge interferes with the emission process The dynamic method can, however, be applied to metals where volume charges are prevented This article reports dynamic measurements of the total secondary emission yield from stainless steel, platinum, and aluminum and compares them with results from the current pulse method In order to apply the dynamic method to metals a simple but important change in the setup was introduced: a dielectric slab was placed between the electrode and the metallic sample, which permitted the sample surface potential and therefore the energy of the incident electrons to change continuously Unlike for dielectrics, the emission curves for metals are identical when obtained by the two methods However, for a sample with deliberately oxidized surfaces the total secondary emission yield is smaller when measured with the dynamic method as compared with the pulse method, just as happens for dielectrics

We show how to set up a 4-digit electronic counter, using inexpensive and easy-to-find components. We show, also, how a counter in conjunction with a crystal oscillator of 1 MHz can be used to measure time intervals accurately in the microsecond, 0.1 of millisecond, and millisecond range. Examples of applications involving, particularly, frequency, speed, and acceleration measurement, as well as electronic techniques for start/stop automatically a counting is also discussed. The described circuits are simple and they can be reproduced without great difficulty, even for undergraduate students.
