Sillimanite—disordering enthalpy by calorimetry
TL;DR: In this paper, a simple temperature-dependent disordering model for spinels leads to an Al-Si interchange enthalpy, Δ H nt, of 16 ± 1 kcal/mole, in good agreement with the value derived by Holdaway (1971) on entirely different grounds.

Constraints on the composition of fluids involved in retrograde anthophyllite formation in the Limpopo Belt, South Africa
TL;DR: In this article, it was shown that the presence of anthophyllite and the absence of talc in two analysed metapelites from the retrograde isograd require an associated vapour phase to have been relatively low in water (aH2O ≤ 0.7) and temperatures to have below 620°C when the anthophyllanite developed from the orthopyroxene, and that this assemblage was in equilibrium at temperatures between 450 to 650°C for pressures of 5 to 7 kbars and water activities between 0.6 and 0.
