Proposed Feed Forward Correction for the CLIC Ring-To-Main-Linac Transfer Lines
Robert Apsimon,Jan Uythoven,Andrea Latina +2 more
- 19 May 2014
TL;DR: This paper proposes feed forward systems situated across the central arcs and turnaround loops of the transfer lines as an elegant solution to relax the damping ring extraction requirements as well as to significantly reduce emittance growth through the betatron collimation system.
Beam Dynamics Studies Through Dielectric THz Accelerating Structures
Robert Apsimon,Robert Appleby,Graeme Burt,Alisa Healy,Steven Jamison,Andrea Latina,Elliott J. H. Smith +6 more
- 09 Mar 2019
TL;DR: In this paper, beam dynamics simulations through dielectric-lined waveguide structures using novel techniques to simulate broadband signals for particle tracking studies in RF-Track are presented and the beam parameters through the structure are optimised and the dynamics of general broadband accelerating structures.

Multi-Objective Optimization of RF Structures
Samuel Smith,Robert Apsimon,Graeme Burt,Sadiq Setiniyaz,Matthew Southerby +4 more
- 01 Aug 2021
TL;DR: This work applies multi-objective optimization methods to single-cell cavity models generated using non-uniform rational basis splines (NURBS) to find the Pareto frontiers for the typical key quantities of interest (QoI) including peak fields, shunt impedance and the modified Poynting vector.
