TL;DR: It can be concluded that application of HDM-impermeable mattress covers on the child's and parents' beds reduced night cough, but not other respiratory symptoms, atopic dermatitis, and atopic sensitization in the first 2 years of life.

TL;DR: EPS-Asp/Pen in bedroom floor and mattress dust showed a reversed association with respiratory symptoms, possibly because of allergen-avoidance measures taken in the bedroom.

TL;DR: No effect of mite allergen impermeable mattress covers on sensitization and atopy at 4 yr is found, and the allergan reducing effects of the covers had disappeared for one of the two mite allergens that were measured.
