Application of Strategic Transport Model and Google Maps to Develop Better Clot Retrieval Stroke Service
Atousa Tajaddini,Thanh G. Phan,Richard Beare,Henry Ma,Velandai Srikanth,Graham Currie,Hai L. Vu +6 more
TL;DR: This paper compares the travel time to potential ECR hubs using both VITM and the Google Maps API and model stability in the next 5 and 10 years to illustrate how this method can be applied in designing and forecast stroke service model in different cities in Australia and around the world.

Multiplicative noise cancellation (MNC) in analog VLSI vision sensors
Alireza Moini,Andrew J. Blanksby,Abdesselam Bouzerdoum,I. Eshraghian,Richard Beare +4 more
- 23 May 1995
TL;DR: The paper describes the implementation of a proposed architecture and circuits for multiplicative noise cancellation (MNC) that has been used in a motion detection chip, and simulation results indicate about ten times improvement in the signal to noise ratio.

Pulmonary Deposition of Radionucleotide-Labeled Palivizumab: Proof-of-Concept Study.
Anushi E Rajapaksa,Anushi E Rajapaksa,Lien Anh Ha Do,Darren Suryawijaya Ong,Magdy Sourial,DM Veysey,Richard Beare,William Hughes,William Yang,Robert J Bischof,Robert J Bischof,Amarin McDonnell,Peter Eu,Leslie Y. Yeo,Paul V. Licciardi,Edward Kim Mulholland +15 more
TL;DR: Proof-of-concept data using nebulized palivizumab delivery as a promising new approach for the prevention or treatment of severe RSV infections is presented, documenting both aerosol characteristics and pulmonary deposition patterns in the lungs of lambs.
Status of recent developments in collision avoidance using motion detectors based on insect vision
Derek Abbott,Alireza Moini,Andre Yakovleff,X. Thong Nguyen,Richard Beare,Wonchan Kim,Abdesselam Bouzerdoum,R.E. Bogner,Kamran Eshraghian +8 more
TL;DR: A VLSI implementation of a smart microsensor that mimics the early visual processing stage in insects has been developed, employing the `smart sensor' paradigm in that the detectors and processing circuitry are integrated on one chip.
Neuroimaging and cognitive correlates of retinal Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) measures at late middle age in a twin sample
Chris Moran,Zheng-Yang Xu,Hemal Mehta,Mark C Gillies,Christopher Karayiannis,Richard Beare,Christine Y. Chen,Velandai Srikanth +7 more
TL;DR: In this article , the authors examined the associations between measures of retinal layer thickness using optical coherence tomography (OCT) and multimodal measures of brain structure and function and found that retinal cell layer thickness showed consistent associations with a range of brain measures suggesting it may have utility as a marker for future dementia risk.
