TL;DR: It is suggested that pioglitazone at the doses studied here is unlikely to modify progression in early Parkinson's disease.
Peripheral nerve grafts implanted into the substantia nigra in patients with Parkinson's disease during deep brain stimulation surgery: 1-year follow-up study of safety, feasibility, and clinical outcome.
Craig G. van Horne,Jorge E. Quintero,John T. Slevin,Amelia J. Anderson-Mooney,Julie A. Gurwell,Andrew Welleford,John R Lamm,Renee Wagner,Greg A. Gerhardt +8 more
TL;DR: Clinical outcome data from this phase I trial suggests that grafting into the substantia nigra of patients with Parkinson's disease at the time of DBS surgery may have some clinical benefit and certainly warrants further study to determine if this is an efficacious and neurorestorative therapy.
GDNF clinical trials for Parkinson’s disease: a critical human dimension
TL;DR: The results from the clinical trials are examined, with GDNF-associated improvement in motor function over time as measured by decreased UPDRS III scores is evident, and a unique human dimension not predicted by the animal models is examined.

Implantation of autologous peripheral nerve grafts into the substantia nigra of subjects with idiopathic Parkinson's disease treated with bilateral STN DBS: a report of safety and feasibility
Craig G. van Horne,Jorge E. Quintero,Julie A. Gurwell,Renee Wagner,John T. Slevin,Greg A. Gerhardt +5 more
TL;DR: Based on the safety outcome of the procedure, targeted peripheral nerve graft delivery to the substantia nigra at the time of DBS surgery is feasible and may provide a means to deliver neurorestorative therapy.

TL;DR: Reductions in MG-ADL score from baseline to day 43 were greater in the rozanolixizumab 7 mg/kg group than with placebo, and the primary efficacy endpoint was change from baseline-to-day 43 inMG- ADL score, assessed in the intention- to-treat population.
