TL;DR: This study is the first to provide reference values for major functional and structural parameters of retinal microcirculation parameters in a random Caucasian population sample and has shown that, at the population level, the first structural changes in retinalmicrocirculation are those in lumen diameters.

TL;DR: A randomized clinical trial of blood pressure-lowering using different drugs has convincingly shown that the risks associated with rising blood pressure can be substantially reduced, particularly for stroke, but also for coronary heart disease (CHD) and heart failure as mentioned in this paper.
