Phase Dynamics, Phase Resetting, Correlation Functions and Coupled Map Lattices
Raymond Kapral,Merk‐Na Chee,Stuart G. Whittington,Gian-Luca Oppo +3 more
- 01 Jan 1989
TL;DR: Not only are the phenomena diverse so that a set of organizing features like the major routes to chaos in spatially homogeneous systems has yet to be discovered, but some of the most useful nonlinear dynamics techniques lose some of their utility for these high-dimensional systems.

Dynamical correlations in rough sphere fluids
TL;DR: In this paper, a renormalized kinetic theory for molecular fluids is used to construct the linear and angular velocity correlation functions for rough sphere fluids, and the results are compared with recent molecular dynamics experiments.

Polymer dynamics in a binary critical mixture
Carolyn Duzy,Raymond Kapral +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the dynamic structure factor of a dilute solution of flexible polymer molecules in a binary mixture near the critical point is studied using mode coupling techniques, and a set of equations is derived which describes the decay of the coupled solvent and polymer modes.

Dichotomously switched phase flows
Simon J. Fraser,Raymond Kapral +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, the effect of additive noise on the planar FitzHugh-Nagumo ordinary differential equations was examined and the statistical behavior of the oscillatory and direct transitions was examined.
