To prepare students to compete in 21st-century skills, the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia integrates character education into school subjects. However, as a medium, comics do not contain the level of character values, exploration, and critical thinking skills in problem-solving on geometry material. Therefore, the aim of this study is to produce digital media based on character values on mathematical critical thinking skills in solving problems related to learning styles for eighth-grade students. This development research employed the 4-D method (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). The study indicates that the digital comic learning media is valid with a total average score of 3.60 based on the material expert’s validation and 3.50 based on the media expert’s validation. The eight-grade students' responses were positive (92%) based on the trials. The learning outcomes in terms of kinesthetic, auditory, and visual learning styles used in this study can all meet all indicators of mathematical problem-solving.

Digital comic learning media based on character values on students’ critical thinking in solving mathematical problems in terms of learning styles

Mobile phones are prevalent worldwide, and today's learners utilize this technology for instructional purposes. This educational design research aims to evaluate the developed interactive mobile application. This instructional material contributes to today's 21st century or digital native learners' needs to engage students in the teaching-learning process. The app is aligned with mathematics instruction, balancing visuals and Math content. Employing the Instructional Material Development for Non-print Materials instrument shows that the developed mobile app is acceptable for the Grade 11 students. Students reported a positive experience and noted an increased interest in Mathematics when using the app. Further research is needed to explore the integration of this app in the mathematics classroom.

Students' evaluation and learning experience on the utilization of Digital Interactive Math Comics (DIMaC) mobile app

This research aims to develop a comic learning media in the form of ToonDoo Applications in the subject of the circular motion. This research uses research and development methods by using a model from Borg & Gall that is adapted by Sugiono. The data of this study were obtained from the results of questionnaire responses of students and educators, validation questionnaires for material experts, media experts, and linguists. The type of data produced is qualitative data which is analyzed with criteria for assessment categories to determine product quality. The feasibility of comic physics books using the Toondoo application is based on a contextual approach according to experts in the “very feasible” category with an average score score of 94.19% material experts, 89.46% media experts, 93% and 83.33%. To use comic book physics using the Toondoo application based on a contextual approach according to students and educators in the “very interesting” category with an average score of 85.61% in small group trials, 86.01% field trials and educator experience testing 88, 59%.

The present research focuses on developing mathematics comic as a teaching material that integrates the moral value of discipline and hard work for elementary school students. This character-building comic development method was made based on the ADDIE model, which includes analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Twenty-nine grade four students were recruited as samples, consisting of a small group of students in the limited trial group and a big group of students in the field trial group. The data collection technique used was a questionnaire. The development of mathematics comic teaching material containing discipline and hard work character-building has successfully resulted in a comic that met the feasibility standards. The field trial showed a significant increase of 0.76 and 0.74 in students’ character development in terms of discipline and hard work, respectively. The results indicate the effectiveness of mathematics comics in instilling Pancasila moral values in elementary mathematics teaching in Indonesia.

The Development of Mathematics Comic Containing Pancasila Values to Develop Character of Elementary School Students: A Case Study of Indonesia

The purpose of this study was (1) to develop mathematics learning media e-comic based on flip
book maker, (2) to know the effectiveness of mathematics learning media e-comic based on flip
book maker observed from critical thinking skills and character of junior high school students.
This study is developmental research that used four phases of Thiagarajan namely define, design,
develop, and disseminate. The subjects were eighth grade students of SMP N 15 Semarang, Central
Java, Indonesia.
The study showed that: (1) the development of mathematics learning media e - comic based on flip
book maker has reached a valid indicator, (2) the mathematics learning media e-comic based on flip
book maker effective to improve junior high school students' critical thinking skills and (3) the
mathematics learning media e-comic based on flip book maker can foster the character value such
as: discipline, cooperation, honesty, confidence and perseverance.

Development of Mathematics Learning Media E- Comic Based on Flip Book Maker to Increase the Critical Thinking Skill and Character of Junior High School Students

Mathematical proving is an important ability to learn. However, mathematics pre-service teachers often find this skill difficult. This research aimed to describe the mathematical proving ability of mathematics pre-service teachers in an online classroom and in the blended classroom. A descriptive mixed methods approach was used. A mathematical proving test was used to collect the data. The results showed that the average score of mathematical proving ability from the blended classroom was 82.6 (categorized as high). Meanwhile, the average score of mathematics pre-service teachers in the online classroom was 65.4 (categorized as intermediate). Given these findings, there is a significant need to improve the mathematical proving ability of the mathematical preservice teachers in the online classroom by enhancing the conceptual understanding of group properties and ensuring the teachers are accustomed to practicing proving tasks.

Standard costs are costs that should be incurred to make one unit of product specified at the beginning of the period. Standard costs become a benchmark for controlling a company's production costs. The purpose of this study is to analyze using standard costs as an effort to support production cost control. This study uses a descriptive type of research with a quantitative approach. This research focuses on controlling production costs by analyzing the actual costs. Documentation interviews and field observations are data collection techniques used. The results of the research on testing production samples at the PT Goodyear Indonesia Laboratory illustrate that the standards applied have not been able to control the cost of testing production samples. The cause of this is data failure in the sample compound which makes repeated sample tests, so that there is an increase and increase in the use of raw materials and an increase in electricity usage. Companies should review the manufacture of compounds in order to be more detailed and thorough so that the goods produced do not fail when testing samples.
