Undifferentiated carcinoma with osteoclastic giant cells (UCOCGC) of the pancreas associated with the familial atypical multiple mole melanoma syndrome (FAMMM)
Jan Bart M. Koorstra,Jan Bart M. Koorstra,Anirban Maitra,Folkert H.M. Morsink,Paul Drillenburg,Fiebo J.W. ten Kate,Ralph H. Hruban,Johan Offerhaus +7 more
TL;DR: A germline p16-Leiden deletion in the UCOCGC is confirmed, accompanied by somatic loss of heterozygosity of the second p16 allele, and absence of p16 protein expression in the neoplastic cells, providing additional evidence that UCOC GC can be considered as a variant of conventional ductal adenocarcinoma of the pancreas.
A primer on artificial intelligence in pancreatic imaging.
Taha Muneer Ahmed,Satomi Kawamoto,Ralph H. Hruban,Elliot K. Fishman,Philippe Soyer,Linda C. Chu +5 more
TL;DR: In this article , the authors reviewed the current status of artificial intelligence in pancreatic imaging and critically appraised the quality of existing evidence using the radiomics quality score, and proposed a set of self-correcting algorithms to develop a mathematical model that best fits the data.

Depletion of bronchus-associated lymphoid tissue associated with lung allograft rejection.
Ralph H. Hruban,William E. Beschorner,William A. Baumgartner,Stephen C. Achuff,Thomas A. Traill,K. A. Digennaro,Bruce A. Reitz,Grover M. Hutchins +7 more
TL;DR: The depletion of BALT associated with allograft rejection may contribute to the increased incidence of pulmonary infections seen in patients with lung transplantation.

Characterization of pancreatic serous cystadenoma on dual-phase multidetector computed tomography
TL;DR: Only 20% of surgically resected serous cystadenomas fulfilled classic morphology, as defined by multiple thin nonenhancing septations, calcifications, as well as the absence of main pancreatic duct dilatation and vascular involvement, which was not helpful in differentiation from pancreatic adenocarcinomas.
Efficacy of platinum chemotherapy agents in the adjuvant setting for adenosquamous carcinoma of the pancreas
Aaron T. Wild,Avani S. Dholakia,Katherine Y. Fan,Rachit Kumar,Shalini Moningi,Lauren M. Rosati,Daniel A. Laheru,Lei Zheng,Ana De Jesus-Acosta,Susannah G. Ellsworth,Amy Hacker-Prietz,Khinh Ranh Voong,Phuoc T. Tran,Ralph H. Hruban,Timothy M. Pawlik,Christopher L. Wolfgang,Joseph M. Herman +16 more
TL;DR: Addition of a platinum agent to adjuvant regimens for resected PASC may improve survival among these high-risk patients, though collaborative prospective investigation is needed.
