Petrogenesis and U Pb geochronology of charnockites flanking the Pranhita Godavari rift in peninsular India-link between the Bastar and Eastern Dharwar Cratons
Tushar Meshram,M. Lachhana Dora,Srinivasa Rao Baswani,Dewashish Upadhyay,Rajkumar Meshram,Kirtikumar Randive,Sameer Ranjan,J. K. Nanda +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors constrain the petrogenesis of granulites from Gondpipri, Bhopalpatnam on the northern flank and Karimnagar on the southern flank of the Pranhita-Godavari valley using petrography, mineral and whole-rock geochemistry, fluid inclusion studies, and U Pb zircon geochronology.

Alaskan-Type Mafic–Ultramafic Complex at Padhar, Betul Belt, Central India
TL;DR: In this article, an Alaskan-type mafic-ultramafic complex at Padhar from the Precambrian Betul Belt of Central India is reported, which is characterized by high Mg and low abundance of incompatible trace elements.

Petrological and Geochemical Studies of Lepidolite (LCT Type) and Non-Lepidolite Pegmatite’s from Chakrasila, Dhubri District, Assam, North East India
Rajkumar Meshram,Bhupender Singh,Mukesh Kumar Mishra,H. Hrushikesh,Alam Siddiqui,Devaseesh Shukla,Rafique Akhtar,Tushar Meshram +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors studied lepidolite pegmatites and found that they have a compositional affinity with S-type granites of orogenic environments, and they are calc-alkaline to high calcalkaline and peraluminous in nature.
Mineralogy and Origin of Dumortierite from Girola Area, Bhandara District, Eastern Maharashtra
Rajkumar Meshram,Kunal B. Ingle +1 more
Abstract: Dumortierite an aluminium borosilicate mineral occurring as aggregates of fibrous, nodular and displaying variable colours is found at Girola hill of Bhandara district. It is associated with kyanite, sillimanite, andalusite, muscovite (sericite), quartz, topaz, rutile, tourmaline and pyrophyllite. It is pink, violet and blue (indigo blue) in colour associated with quartz veins. It shows strong pleochroism from colourless to light pink and pale blue to violet (azure blue). The structural formula of dumortierite is calculated as Si2.98Al6.81B0.98O18 on the basis of X-ray analysis. Its origin is related to late stage pneumatolytic activity or due to interaction of hydrothermal solution rich in boric acid and titanium dioxide with alumina rich rocks.
