X-linked insertion/deletion polymorphisms: forensic applications of a 33-markers panel.
Natalle Do Socorro Da Costa Freitas,Rafael Lima Resque,Elzemar Martins Ribeiro-Rodrigues,João Farias Guerreiro,Ney Pereira Carneiro dos Santos,Ândrea Ribeiro-dos-Santos,Sidney Santos +6 more
TL;DR: A laboratory analysis methodology using a 33-INDEL marker panel for the X chromosome in a single PCR multiplex reaction, followed by a capillary electrophoresis run to demonstrate that the measurement of biostatistical parameters for forensic use in this population is compatible with prior estimates from other populations using current X-STR panels.

Male Lineages in Brazil: Intercontinental Admixture and Stratification of the European Background
Rafael Lima Resque,Leonor Gusmão,Maria Geppert,Lutz Roewer,Teresinha de Jesus Brabo Ferreira Palha,Luis Alvarez,Ândrea Ribeiro-dos-Santos,Sidney Santos +7 more
TL;DR: A population comparison based on pairwise FST genetic distances did not reveal statistically significant differences in haplogroup frequency distributions among populations from the different regions, and the genetic differences observed among regions were consistent with the colonization history of the country.
Hypoglycemic effect of formulation containing hydroethanolic extract of Calophyllum brasiliense in diabetic rats induced by streptozotocin
Helison de Oliveira Carvalho,Belmira Silva Farias e Souza,Igor Victor Ferreira dos Santos,Rafael Lima Resque,Hady Keita,Caio P. Fernandes,José Carlos Tavares Carvalho +6 more
TL;DR: These pharmaceutical forms have anti-diabetic effect and act improving the biochemical parameters, this effect is probably due to the high content of polyphenolic compounds found in the formulations.
Estimates of Interethnic Admixture in the Brazilian Population Using a Panel of 24 X-Linked Insertion/Deletion Markers
Rafael Lima Resque,Natalle Do Socorro Da Costa Freitas,Elzemar Martins Ribeiro Rodrigues,João Farias Guerreiro,Ney Pereira Carneiro dos Santos,Ândrea Kely Campos Ribeiro dos Santos,Marco Antonio Zago,Sidney Santos +7 more
TL;DR: This study aimed to identify ancestry informative haplotypes and make interethnic admixture estimates using X‐chromosome markers using X-chromosomal markers.
