M-CAVI, a neoadjuvant carboplatin-based regimen for the treatment of T2-4N0M0 carcinoma of the bladder.
Joaquim Bellmunt,Antoni Ribas,Joan Albanell,Begoña Bermejo,R. Vera,J. A. De Torres,Joan Morote,M. A. Lopez-Pacios,J. M. Banus,Angels Rovirosa,J Carulla,Solé La +11 more
TL;DR: M-CAVI is an active and well-tolerated regimen that should be compared in terms of response rate and survival with a cisplatin-based regimen for invasive bladder cancer.

Early results of the value of p53 in predicting survival in a homogeneous cohort of patients with invasive bladder cancer treated with a neoadjuvant carboplatin-based regimen (M-CAVI).
Antoni Ribas,Joaquim Bellmunt,Joan Albanell,I. De Torres,Begoña Bermejo,J. A. De Torres,Joan Morote,Enrique Gallardo,R. Vera,J Carulla,Luis-Alfonso Solé-Calvo +10 more
TL;DR: Although the median follow-up of the study is still too short, in this group of patients treated with a neoadjuvant carboplatin-based regimen, a classical variable rather than p53 nuclear overexpression was an independent prognostic factor for survival.

Frequent dose delays and growth factor requirements with the sequential doxorubicin-CMF schedule
Antoni Ribas,Joan Albanell,Joaquim Bellmunt,Begoña Bermejo,Enrique Gallardo,R. Vera,R. Bodi,Luis-Alfonso Solé-Calvo +7 more
TL;DR: Doxorubicin for four cycles plus cyclophosphamide, methotrexate and 5-fluorouracil for eight cycles is an effective adjuvant regimen for breast cancer patients with more than three involved axillary lymph nodes and growth factors are needed to maintain dose intensity similar to that achieved in the original trial.

Cyclophosphamide, methotrexate, and chronic oral tegafur modulated by folinic acid in the treatment of patients with advanced breast carcinoma
Antoni Ribas,Joan Albanell,Luis-Alfonso Solé-Calvo,Enrique Gallardo,Joaquim Bellmunt,R. Vera,Rosó Vidal,J Carulla,José Baselga +8 more
TL;DR: Chronic oral tegafur modulated by folinic acid has antitumor activity in patients with metastatic breast carcinoma resistant to 5‐fluorouracil or doxorubicin‐based regimens.
3
Life-threatening toxicity of oral tegafur-uracil (UFT) plus leucovorin
TL;DR: A life-threatening toxicity observed in a 74-year-old female while undergoing adjuvant treatment with oral UFT plus leucovorm for adenocarcinoma of the rectum is reported on.
