Resonant features of energy and particle transport during application of resonant magnetic perturbation fields at TEXTOR and DIII-D*
Oliver Schmitz,Todd Evans,M.E. Fenstermacher,Michael Lehnen,H. Stoschus,Ezekial A Unterberg,J. W. Coenen,H. Frerichs,M. W. Jakubowski,R. Laengner,C.L. Lasnier,Saskia Mordijck,R.A. Moyer,T.H. Osborne,H. Reimerdes,Detlev Reiter,U. Samm,B. Unterberg,Textor teams +18 more
TL;DR: In this paper, results of a direct comparison of TEXTOR and DIII-D experiments with resonant magnetic perturbation (RMP) fields are presented, which is useful to identify generic physics mechanisms during application of RMP fields with a strong field line pitch angle alignment in the plasma edge.

Modeling of divertor particle and heat loads during application of resonant magnetic perturbation fields for ELM control in ITER
Oliver Schmitz,Marina Becoulet,P. Cahyna,Todd Evans,Y. Feng,H. Frerichs,A. Kirschner,A.S. Kukushkin,R. Laengner,T. Lunt,A. Loarte,R.A. Pitts,Dirk Reiser,Detlev Reiter,G. Saibene,U. Samm +15 more
TL;DR: In this article, three-dimensional modeling of the divertor heat and particle flux pattern during application of resonant magnetic perturbation fields as ELM control scheme in ITER with the EMC3-Eirene fluid plasma and kinetic neutral transport code is discussed.

Material deposition and migration processes with resonant magnetic perturbation fields at TEXTOR
R. Laengner,Oliver Schmitz,S. Brezinsek,J. W. Coenen,T. Eich,Michaele Freisinger,A. Kirschner,Arkadi Kreter,Sören Möller,M. Laengner,V. Philipps,A. Pospieszczyka,H. Reimer,U. Samm,P. Wienhold,Textor Team +15 more
TL;DR: In this article, a 3D topology of the scrape-off layer (SOL) of a test limiter was measured using spatially resolving spectroscopy and the resulting deposition patterns on the limiters were analyzed with colourimetry and nuclear reaction analysis.

TL;DR: In this paper, the performance of ICWC discharge in large-size fusion machines is analyzed in terms of RF plasma wave excitation/absorption and compared with the predictions from I-D RF full wave and 0-D PF plasma codes.
