Matteo Boretto,Nina Maenhoudt,Xinlong Luo,Aurélie Hennes,Bram Boeckx,Bich Bui,Bich Bui,R. Heremans,Lisa Perneel,Hiroto Kobayashi,Hiroto Kobayashi,Indra Van Zundert,Hilde Brems,Benoit Cox,Marc Ferrante,Hiroshi Uji-i,Kian Peng Koh,Thomas D'Hooghe,Arne Vanhie,Ignace Vergote,Christel Meuleman,Carla Tomassetti,Diether Lambrechts,Joris Vriens,Dirk Timmerman,Hugo Vankelecom +25 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that organoids derived from patients with various types of endometrial pathologies can model disease traits and diversity, and can be used as a drug-screening tool.

Developing Organoids from Ovarian Cancer as Experimental and Preclinical Models.
Nina Maenhoudt,Charlotte Defraye,Matteo Boretto,Ziga Jan,R. Heremans,Bram Boeckx,Florian Hermans,Florian Hermans,Ingrid Arijs,Benoit Cox,Els Van Nieuwenhuysen,Ignace Vergote,Anne-Sophie Van Rompuy,Diether Lambrechts,Dirk Timmerman,Hugo Vankelecom +15 more
TL;DR: Established organoid lines from patient-derived OC showed patient tumor-dependent morphology and disease characteristics, and recapitulated the parent tumor's marker expression and mutational landscape, and displayed tumor-specific sensitivity to clinical HGSOC chemotherapeutic drugs.

Signs and symptoms associated with uterine cancer in pre- and postmenopausal women
Shari Boeckstaens,Shari Boeckstaens,Sara Dewalheyns,R. Heremans,Radhika Vikram,Dirk Timmerman,Thierry Van den Bosch,Jan Y Verbakel,Jan Y Verbakel +8 more
TL;DR: Abnormal uterine bleeding occurring in pre- and perimenopausal women was proven to be the most widely investigated symptom in relation to cancer of the uterus, highlighting the current lack of knowledge regarding the diagnostic accuracy of several signs and symptoms for uterine cancer.

Organoids of epithelial ovarian cancer as an emerging preclinical in vitro tool: a review.
TL;DR: Current tumor models, including organoids are discussed and potential future applications are addressed, proving organoids to be an interesting platform for modeling tumorigenesis, drug testing and screening and other applications.
Ultrasound features of endometrial pathology in women without abnormal uterine bleeding: results from the International Endometrial Tumor Analysis study (IETA3)
R. Heremans,T. Van den Bosch,Lil Valentin,Laure Wynants,Maria Angela Pascual,Robert Fruscio,A. C. Testa,Frances C. Buonomo,Stefano Guerriero,Elisabeth Epstein,Tom Bourne,Dirk Timmerman,Francesco Leone +12 more
