Secular orbital evolution of Jupiter family comets
Hans Rickman,Hans Rickman,R. Gabryszewski,P. Wajer,T. Wiśniowski,K. Wójcikowski,Slawomira Szutowicz,Giovanni B. Valsecchi,Giovanni B. Valsecchi,Alessandro Morbidelli +9 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors used a random sample of late heavy bombardment cometary projectiles to study the long-term dynamics of JFCs by a Monte Carlo approach and derived the capture rate based on observed JFC with small perihelia and large nuclei.
Cometary impact rates on the Moon and planets during the late heavy bombardment
Hans Rickman,Hans Rickman,T. Wiśniowski,R. Gabryszewski,P. Wajer,K. Wójcikowski,Slawomira Szutowicz,Giovanni B. Valsecchi,Giovanni B. Valsecchi,Alessandro Morbidelli +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a Monte Carlo study of the dynamics of the cometary LHB projectiles and derive the impact rates by calculating individual collision probabilities for a huge sample of projectile orbits were performed.

TL;DR: The compositions of planet-crossing asteroids are studied to understand their physical properties and orbital parameters. The study provides updated photometry and taxonomic classification for a large number of NEOs, including mission-accessible objects. The results confirm the perihelion dependence of spectral slope and clustering of A-type NEOs.
Direct-retrograde orbit flips at planetary close encounters: The role of the Tisserand parameter
Giovanni B. Valsecchi,Hans Rickman,Alessandro Morbidelli,T. Wiśniowski,R. Gabryszewski,P. Wajer +5 more
TL;DR: In this article , the conditions under which planetary close encounters transform the orbits of small Solar System bodies from direct to retrograde, and vice versa, were derived. But the analytical constraints on the orbital elements of the small body that allow direct-retrograde transitions at close encounters were not considered.

On the Dynamical Evolution of Scattered Disk Objects Outside the Planetary System
R. Gabryszewski,Hans Rickman +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors report the results of dynamical simulations, covering Gyr timescales, of fictitious Scattered Disk Objects as a follow-up to an earlier study, and confirm the important role of external objects (with perihelia beyond Neptune's orbit) in feeding the Oort Cloud.
