TL;DR: In this paper, the spin-flip probability S nn for inelastic proton scattering around 300 MeV from nuclei between 12 C and 90 Zr was measured for 40 Ca at 800 MeV and 44 Ca up to 75 MeV.

TL;DR: In this article, cross sections, analyzing powers and spin-flip probabilities have been measured for inelastic scattering of 290 MeV protons at laboratory angles between 3.1 and 3.4m.

TL;DR: Comparison of the results with relativistic and nonrelativistic impulse-approximation models shows that Fermi-motion averaging, a realistic nuclear response function, and medium modifications of the NN interaction are essential ingredients of a successful theory.
