Dynamical Masses and Radiative Transfer Modeling of HD 698: A Be Binary in Evolutionary Transition
I. A. Gabitova,Alex C. Carciofi,T. H. de Amorim,M. W. Suffak,A. Miroshnichenko,Sergey Zharikov,Amanda C. Rubio,S. Danford,Alicia Aarnio,Peter Prendergast,Richard J. Rudy,Richard C. Puetter,R. Brad Perry,A. Agishev,N. Vaidman,S. A. Khokhlov +15 more
TL;DR: This study analyzes the Be binary system HD 698, determining its orbital period, component masses, and radiative transfer properties, revealing a moderately dense decretion disk and a luminous, inflated companion star with a stripped envelope.
0.8-2.5 Micron Reflectance Spectroscopy of Pluto
Richard J. Rudy,Catherine C. Venturini,David K. Lynch,S. M. Mazuk,R. C. Puetter,R. Brad Perry +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a near-infrared (0.8-2.5 μm) spectrophotometry of Pluto was presented for the Pluto-Charon system, where the sub-Earth longitude and latitude of Pluto at the time of the observations were 80° and 28°
Near-Infrared Spectrophotometry and the CO Emission in V2274 Cygni (Nova Cygni 2001 No. 1)
Richard J. Rudy,William L. Dimpfl,David K. Lynch,S. M. Mazuk,Catherine C. Venturini,John C. Wilson,R. C. Puetter,R. Brad Perry +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, the infrared spectroscopy of V2274 Cygni is presented for two widely separated epochs, 17 and 370 days after discovery. But the early-time spectrum shows strong emission lines of C I and N I, fluorescently excited lines of O I, and emission from the first overtone of carbon monoxide.
