Molecular hydrogen increases resilience to stress in mice.
Qiang Gao,Han Song,Xiao-ting Wang,Ying Liang,Yan-jie Xi,Yuan Gao,Qingjun Guo,Tyler W. LeBaron,Yi-Xiao Luo,Shuang-cheng Li,Xi Yin,Haishui Shi,Yuxia Ma +12 more
TL;DR: The results showed that repeated inhalation of hydrogen-oxygen mixed gas significantly decreased both the acute and chronic stress-induced depressive- and anxiety-like behaviors of mice, which illustrates the long-lasting effects of hydrogen on stress resilience in mice.

Neuropeptide Trefoil factor 3 improves learning and retention of novel object recognition memory in mice.
TL;DR: An important role of TFF3 is provided in improving object recognition memory and reserving it for a longer time, which suggests a potential therapeutic application for diseases with recognition and memory impairment.

Long-lasting effects of postweaning sodium butyrate exposure on social behaviors in adult mice.
Penghui Zhao,Li Meng,Mengxiao Dou,Jiawen Mao,Ge Zhang,Min Zheng,Xi Yin,Zifei Tao,Miao Gong,Li Song,Kaoqi Lian,Omar Israel Velez de-la-Paz,Qingjun Guo,Hai-Shui Shi +13 more
TL;DR: Findings provide direct evidence, for the first time, that postweaning SB exposure produces long-term effects on social behaviors in adult mice, mainly referring to sexual orientation, social dominance, and depression-like behaviors, which may be related to the serum TMAO levels.

Hydrogen-Rich Water Ameliorates Autistic-Like Behavioral Abnormalities in Valproic Acid-Treated Adolescent Mice Offspring
Qingjun Guo,Xi Yin,Meng Qiao,Yujiao Jia,Dandan Chen,Juan Shao,Tyler W. LeBaron,Yuan Gao,Haishui Shi,Bin Jia +9 more
TL;DR: It is found that HRW administration significantly reversed the autistic-like behaviors induced by maternal VPA exposure in the adolescent offspring of both male and female adolescent offspring, suggesting the need for additional research on HRW as a potential preventive strategy for autism and related disorders.
Sex-dependent and long-lasting effects of bisphenol AF exposure on emotional behaviors in mice
Miao Gong,Han Song,Yan Dong,Ziqing Huai,Yaling Fu,Panpan Yu,Bo-Wei Huang,Ruifu Yang,Yi Gu,Qian Meng,Yuan Gao,Li Song,Qingjun Guo,Qiang Gao,Xi Yin,Sheng Wang,Yun Shi,Hai-Shui Shi +17 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the effects of maternal exposure to bisphenol AF (BPAF), an environmental endocrine disruptor (EED), induced significant alterations in emotional behaviors in offspring mice during adolescence in a sex-dependent manner.
