TL;DR: Cellulose-based aerogel was prepared from waste newspaper without any pretreatment using 1-allyl-3-methyimidazolium chloride as a solvent via regeneration and an environmentally friendly freeze-drying method, and exhibited good absorption performance for oils and absorption capacity for organic solvents.

Fabrication of Cellulose Nanofiber/AlOOH Aerogel for Flame Retardant and Thermal Insulation.
TL;DR: Cellulose nanofiber/AlOOH composite aerogels exhibited excellent flame retardant and thermal insulation properties through the flammability test, which indicated that the as-prepared composite aerogsels would have a promising future in the application of some important areas such as protection of lightweight construction materials.

Fabrication, superhydrophobicity, and microwave absorbing properties of the magnetic γ-Fe2O3/bamboo composites
TL;DR: Magnetic γ-Fe2O3 nanoparticles were successfully deposited on the surface of the bamboo via a coprecipitation process at room temperature as mentioned in this paper, and they exhibited superparamagnetic behavior and super-hydrophobicity.
