Hepatocyte CD36 modulates UBQLN1-mediated proteasomal degradation of autophagic SNARE proteins contributing to septic liver injury.
Yanping Li,Jingyuan Xu,Xingxing Wang,Zhibo Zhao,Yuqi Li,Qin Yang,Qiuying Ding,Ping Yang,Li Wei,Yao Chen,Yaxi Chen,Xiong Z. Ruan,Lei Zhao +12 more
TL;DR: In this article , the expression of CD36 in hepatocytes was increased in patients and a mouse model with sepsis, accompanied by impaired auto-autophagy flux, and the hepatocyte cd36 knockout (cd36-HKO) markedly improved liver injury and the impairment of autophagosome-lysosome fusion in lipopolysaccharide-induced septic mice.

Zhe Liu,Shuai Tan,Lianyu Zhou,Li Chen,Mingfeng Liu,Wang Wang,Yingying Tang,Qin Yang,Se-Eun Chi,Peiyan Jiang,Yue Zhang,Yonghua Cui,Junhong Qin,Xiao Dong Hu,Sheng-Wen Li,Qi Liu,Lu Chen,Song Li,Ezra Burstein,Wei Li,Xiaohu Zhang,Xianming Mo,Da Jia +22 more
TL;DR: Wang et al. as mentioned in this paper identified secretagogin (SCGN), a regulator of synaptic transmission, as a new risk gene for ASD and demonstrated that the administration of oxytocin and anti-inflammatory drugs can attenuate ASD-associated defects caused by SCGN deficiency.
