Study of the multiple-profile control system to enhance oil recovery after polymer flooding
TL;DR: Wang et al. as discussed by the authors carried out the laboratory studies on multi-profile control and displacement system to enhance oil recovery after polymer flooding, and the results showed that the multiple injection system not only blocks the high permeable layers and channels, but also makes full use of medium and low permeability layers, finally improving the whole sweep efficiency.

Estimation of CO2 Diffusivity in Brine by Use of the Genetic Algorithm and Mixed Kernels-Based Support Vector Machine Model
TL;DR: The proposed intelligent model, termed MKSVM-GA, is developed using a hybrid technique of support vector machine (SVM), mixed kernels (MK), and genetic algorithm (GA) and is superior to four commonly used traditional empirical correlations at this sample size.

TL;DR: In this article, a method for coal bed methane mining by multi-element thermal fluid foam displacement was proposed, in which coal bed is compressed and mixed with compressed air, and then the mixture is injected into a multi element thermal fluid generation device for ignition, extracted processed ground water is mixed to produce the multi-factor thermal fluid mainly with high-temperature and high-pressure water vapor and mixed gas of carbon dioxide and nitrogen.

Pressure Transient Behavior of Horizontal Well with Time-Dependent Fracture Conductivity in Tight Oil Reservoirs
TL;DR: In this article, a semianalytical model is proposed to obtain the behavior of a multistage fractured horizontal well in tight oil reservoirs, which accounts for fluid flow in four contiguous regions of the tight formation by using pressure continuity and mass conservation.
Unified relative permeability model and waterflooding type curves under different levels of water cut
Qihong Feng,Jin Zhang,Sen Wang,Xiang Wang,Ronghao Cui,Duan-ping Wang,Shaoxian Bing,Zhenhua Rui +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors presented a unified mathematical model to account for different water saturations and developed two type curves to predict the waterflooding performance and provided a comprehensive model of ln(kro/krw) vs Sw and new Type-A and -B curves for reservoirs at high water-cut stage, which are beneficial for accurate performance forecasts for the entire duration of water-floods.
