Qianjun Li,Ting Xu,Chuan Shao,Wenhui Gao,Mingming Wang,Yongquan Dong,Xiumin Wang,Feijie Lu,Danqing Li,Huanyu Tan,Yin Jiang,Qinge Xie,Fengbo Cai,Lijie Feng,Taoping Li +14 more
TL;DR: In this paper , a prospective case-control was used, including 48 subjects from Sleep Medicine Center of Nanfang Hospital, to detect fecal microbiome composition (by 16S rDNA gene amplification and sequencing) and intestinal barrier biomarkers-intestinal fatty acid-binding protein (I-FABP) and D-lactic acid (D-LA) by ELISA and colorimetry, respectively.
Upregulation of microRNA-218 reduces cardiac microvascular endothelial cells injury induced by coronary artery disease through the inhibition of HMGB1.
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that upregulation of miR‐218 reduces CMECs injury induced by CAD through the inhibition of HMGB1.

Impaired intestinal barrier in patients with obstructive sleep apnea.
Qianjun Li,Qianjun Li,Ting Xu,Hai Zhong,Wenhui Gao,Chuan Shao,Chuan Shao,Lijie Feng,Taoping Li +8 more
TL;DR: The systemic expression of D-LA and I-FABP is dramatically higher in OSA patients, suggesting that hypoxia resulting from OSA might have the capacity to impair the intestinal barrier prior to the induction of multisystem dysfunction.
