Binding of phosphonic acids to CdSe quantum dots : a solution NMR study
Raquel Gomes,Antti Hassinen,Agnieszka Szczygiel,Qiang Zhao,André Vantomme,José C. Martins,Zeger Hens +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the binding of phosphonic acid ligands to wurtzite CdSe quantum dots (CdSe QDs) was analyzed using 1H and 31P solution nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy.

Light Absorption Coefficient of CsPbBr3 Perovskite Nanocrystals.
Jorick Maes,Lieve Balcaen,Emile Drijvers,Qiang Zhao,Jonathan De Roo,Jonathan De Roo,André Vantomme,Frank Vanhaecke,Pieter Geiregat,Zeger Hens +9 more
TL;DR: The ICP-MS measurements demonstrate the nonstoichiometric nature of the NCs, with a systematic excess of lead for all samples studied, and Rutherford backscattering measurements indicate that this enrichment in lead concurs with a relative increase in the bromide content.

Optical Properties of Zincblende Cadmium Selenide Quantum Dots
Richard Capek,Iwan Moreels,Karel Lambert,David De Muynck,Qiang Zhao,André Van Tomme,Frank Vanhaecke,Zeger Hens +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, the optical properties of zinc-blende cadmium selenide quantum dots (zb-CdSe QDs) have been investigated, yielding the electronic band gap to size relation (sizing curve), the extinction coefficient at short wavelengths, and the oscillator strength of the band gap transition.

Surface Chemistry of CuInS2 Colloidal Nanocrystals, Tight Binding of L-Type Ligands
Ruben Dierick,Freya Van den Broeck,Kim De Nolf,Qiang Zhao,André Vantomme,José C. Martins,Zeger Hens +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, the surface chemistry of as-synthesized CuInS2 nanocrystals has been analyzed using solution NMR spectroscopy and elemental analysis, and it has been shown that carboxylic acids are unable to bind as L-type ligands to the surface.

Less Is More. Cation Exchange and the Chemistry of the Nanocrystal Surface
TL;DR: This model explains the finding that the cation exchange reaction runs to completion when using a low Cd excess in the exchange bath, while it is impeded by a highCd excess.
