Element-Grouping Intelligent Reflecting Surface: Electromagnetic-Compliant Model and Geometry-Based Optimization
Zhuang Mao,Wei Wang,Qian Xia,Caijun Zhong,Xinhua Pan,Zhizhen Ye +5 more
TL;DR: This paper proposes a practical electromagnetic-compliant reflection coefficient model for element-grouping IRS, which configures each sub-surface (including multiple homogeneous elements) but not each single element, and proposes a low-complexity phase control algorithm to find the optimal phase shifts of IRS.

VQ-CSMA: Throughput-Optimal Low-Delay Random Access
TL;DR: A neighbor-aware virtual queue system is constructed, which considers not only the local queue lengths but also the neighbors’ queue lengths, and it is proved that VQ-CSMA achieves throughput optimality by analyzing the corresponding maximum-weight scheduling.

Multi-Slot Distributed Measurement Selection: A Sparsity Learning Approach
Qian Xia,Wei Wang,Rong Ran,Yi Gong,Zhaoyang Zhang +4 more
- 11 Sep 2020
TL;DR: This article transformation the intractable multi-slot measurement selection problem into per-slot subproblems, and in each slot the authors select the uncollected measurements that are more “useful” for parameter estimation based on sparse Bayesian learning and proposes an enhanced subgradient method to solve the Boolean constraint.

Distributed Successive Measurement Selection Based on Online Sparsity Inference
Qian Xia,Wei Wang,Rong Ran,Yi Gong,Zhaoyang Zhang +4 more
- 20 May 2019
TL;DR: A distributed algorithm exploiting the sparsity property extracted from the on-line data processing is proposed, and a mission-oriented framework is proposed to analyze the performance improvements for the specific mission of collecting new data.
