Differential co-expression networks of long non-coding RNAs and mRNAs in Cleistogenes songorica under water stress and during recovery.
Qi Yan,Fan Wu,Zhuanzhuan Yan,Jie Li,Tiantian Ma,Yufei Zhang,Yufeng Zhao,Yanrong Wang,Jiyu Zhang +8 more
TL;DR: This study obtained the root and shoot transcriptomes of young C. songorica plants subjected to different degrees of water stress and recovery treatments and identified 81 water stress-related orthologues regulated to lncRNAs as a core of evolutionary conserved genes important to regulate water stress responses in the family.

Genome and systems biology of Melilotus albus provides insights into coumarins biosynthesis.
Fan Wu,Zhen Duan,Pan Xu,Qi Yan,Minghui Meng,Mingshu Cao,Christopher S. Jones,Xifang Zong,Pei Zhou,Yimeng Wang,Kai Luo,Shengsheng Wang,Zhuanzhuan Yan,Penglei Wang,Hongyan Di,Zifeng Ouyang,Yanrong Wang,Jiyu Zhang +17 more
TL;DR: In this article, a chromosome-scale assembly of Melilotus albus genome with 1.04Gb in eight chromosomes, containing 71.42% repetitive elements was reported, and gene flows were from M. albus to M. officinalis.

Genome-Wide Analysis of the UDP-Glycosyltransferase Family Reveals Its Roles in Coumarin Biosynthesis and Abiotic Stress in Melilotus albus
TL;DR: In this article, a total of 189 MaUGT genes were identified from the Melilotus albus genome, which were distributed differentially among its eight chromosomes, and they can be classified into 13 major groups.

Analysis of microRNA reveals cleistogamous and chasmogamous floret divergence in dimorphic plant.
Fan Wu,Daiyu Zhang,Blaise Pascal Muvunyi,Qi Yan,Yufei Zhang,Zhuanzhuan Yan,Mingshu Cao,Yanrong Wang,Jiyu Zhang +8 more
TL;DR: This is the first study on differential miRNA accumulation between CH and CL flowers and serves as a foundation to the future elucidation of regulatory mechanisms of miRNAs in the divergent development of CL and CH flowers in a single plant.
Genome–Wide Identification of the GRAS Family Genes in Melilotus albus and Expression Analysis under Various Tissues and Abiotic Stresses
TL;DR: Five and seven MaGRAS genes were upregulated under ABA, drought, and salt stress treatments in the roots and shoots, respectively, indicating that they play vital roles in the response to ABA and abiotic stresses in M. albus.
