Synthesis and mesomorphic properties of 4'-n-alkoxy-2,3,5,6-tetrafluorobiphenyl-4-carboxylic acids
TL;DR: The mesomorphic behavior of these new compounds was studied by means of polarizing microscopy as mentioned in this paper, which showed that they exist either as enantiotropic or monotropic nematic liquid crystals.
