First Principles and Experimental Study on the Atomic Formation of MnS–Al2SiO5 Inclusions in Steel
TL;DR: In this article , the formation of MnS-Al2SiO5 complex inclusions is investigated at the atomic level by using first principles calculation based on the density functional theory (DFT).

Investigation on the formation mechanism of composite inclusions by multi-scale characterization in high manganese steel with yttrium addition
Q. Meng,Mingsheng Tan,Xiaopei Guo,Tao Li,Shaopeng Gu,Chen Chen,Fucheng Zhang +6 more
TL;DR: Researchers investigated the formation mechanism of composite inclusions in high manganese steel with yttrium addition, revealing a transformation from MnS-Al2O3 to Y2S3-Y2O2S inclusions with improved morphology and interface structure, and elucidating the adsorption pathway and electronic structures of Y and S atoms.

Thermodynamic formation and three-dimensional characterization of MnS-MgAl2O4 composite inclusions in steel
TL;DR: In this paper , the three-dimensional morphology of the composite inclusion of MnS-MgAl2O4 in steel samples were observed by using the X-ray Micro-CT in the beamline of BL16U2 at Shanghai Synchrotron Radiation Facility (SSRF).

Experimental study on the effect of trace elements in copper-chromium contacts on the current cut-off level of vacuum switches
Q. Meng,Jian Zhang Zou,X. Guo,Y. Li,Qiang Huang +4 more
- 01 Jan 2022
TL;DR: In this article , the effect of adding trace element Te (tellurium) to the CuCr (copper-chromium) contacts was investigated, and the results showed that adding Te element to the contact can reduce the cutoff value of the material.
